I don't see how questioning religious beliefs is bigotry. They have no more right to be put on a pedestal and be unquestioned than any other belief. In fact they should probably be questioned MORE than any other beliefs. If you're going to run your life by a set of guidelines then they should be examined and compared with alternatives; a dogmatic assertion that they are "correct" is self defeating and exactly what the OP was mocking imo. In some countries I as an atheist would be stoned to death thanks to people who have never seriously looked at and rationally analysed their belief system. But no offence meant to any medievalists out there

live your own life and ask yourself why do you feel it necessary to dictate or bash the lives of others - and when you reply 'that's exactly what Christians are doing'...then be the bigger man!!! every religion has nuts who take it too far or don't understand - thats just mankind and it will never change, all you have to do is...ignore it guhhhh!
Leave the vast majority who have chosen to live their life like that in peace...they're not wishing anything bad on you.
The religious ARE wishing bad things on me, you and everyone else. If you aren't part of their superspecial friends club then you are going to be damned for all eternity. In some religions its actually ok to kill someone who doesn't follow EXACTLY the same beliefs as a follower. I wish them no harm myself, I would leave them in peace if only they would leave the rest of us who have thought about it for themselves alone.
